01 My job within the start-up Antsway
I am R&D Engineer at Antsway. Within the Research & Development department, I improve and develop algorithms to offer customers new features. I provide solutions both for the route optimization software AntsRoute and for the mobile app AntsDrive.
02 My educational background
Before my arrival in France, I studied applied mathematics within one of the most renowned in Iran. After my graduation with a bachelor’s degree and top of the class title, I carried out a master’s degree in the same Iranian university. The title gave me the opportunity to join this training without having to take competitive entrance examination.
Highly interested by Operations Research, I started a PhD in this field within the research center Inria Bordeaux-Sud-Ouest in 2011. I defended my thesis called “Planning and Routing via Decomposition Approaches” in front of an audience. Then, I attended the postdoctoral program of Ecole des Mines in Saint-Etienne. During my training, I had the opportunity to work on industrial project in association with CMA-CGM group. To explore different aspects of Operations Research, I joined Kedge Business School in 2016. During this year, I mainly worked on stochastic programming approaches.
03 My arrival within the start-up Antsway
When I arrived within the start-up, I was not fluent in French. Thanks to my patience and my colleagues support, especially Marc and Christophe, I improved my level in French. Furthermore, joining Antsway gave me the opportunity to reinforce my experience in the industrial field.
04 What I enjoy most in my work
As a R&D Engineer, I am highly motivated about meeting our customers’ needs and expectations. These needs are mostly complex and motivating problems to solve. I also appreciate the team spirit and the support.
